Field Work Begins
As of January 2021 fieldwork to investigate the electrical conductivity of the ground around New Zealand has begun. Project members Wiebke Heise (GNS), Ted Bertrand (GNS), and Malcolm Ingham (VUW) are undertaking a years-long fieldwork campaign to make magnetotelluric measurements in Otago/Southland and Northland, as these have yet to be measured.
